We love to do traditional Rug Hooking and we can help you get started. This fiber art is the hottest new "old" craft! Did you know right here at Searsport Rug Hooking we can take you from start to finish? Where do you want to start, maybe with a primitive rug hooking pattern? Or do you Want to dye your own Wool? How about designing your own pattern on our wonderful Linen? We import our own so we can offer deep discounts to you! Or are you looking for a new Rug Hooking Frame? Ours are made locally and they are very nice! Maybe you want a special Rug Hook? Ours are all one of a kind hand turned, using everything from Oak to Black Walnut to Snake wood! How about some really nice wool, this is our "as is" wool And we just got a new shipment in! Or do you want a rug hooking ready to hook kit? We can help! They come with cut wool or if you have a wool cutter you can cut your own. We are here to help, just give us a yell! You can order on line, by email, on the phone.

"Rugs on the Rocks"
August 11-15, 2009
What we are doing is a large work shop here in Maine that will not be located here at the studio.
We will be using a wonderful old Navy base that is located about 2
hours down east from us, it is going to be a wonderful place to be for
5 days. Cost will include teachers fees, lodging and 3 meals and a
snack each day. Also included is our signature Lobster dinner! We are
going to have 4 teachers, so it will be hard to choose! The lodging is
going to be in 3 and 4 bedroom apartments and you will be sharing the
kitchen, dining and living room only. There are a few of the apartments
that do have twin beds in two of the rooms, so if there is a large
group that wants to house together we can group you that way. Those
apartments will hold 6. If you live close to the area and do not want
the lodging or want to stay in a motel or the B&B located with in
20 minutes that is an option too.
We have been working on the menus and one of the
things is of course, LOBSTER! How about an omelet buffet for
breakfast? Fresh home made cookies for afternoon snacks? You know we
like to eat if you have ever been to one of our hookin's or workshops,
so our standards are going to be pretty high for this.
Or Hookin in the Hall after hours??
This is an old Navy base and there is not anything
around us but ocean, pines and crashing waves so we will need to make
our own fun!
Wine and cheese after hours?? What do you want??

LINEN, LINEN LINEN!!! Have we got LINEN!
We have another shipment of linen in. If you want a great price on a large amount to split with friends or your rug hooking group check us out. If you order a bolt of 50 yards the price drops to $16.99 a yard! That is a savings of $12.00 a yard for you! The shipping on a bolt of 50 yards has been running about $50.00 +/-. We can leave it on the bolt if you like or split it in to two 25 yard folded bolts, which is much easier to handle. Our linen is 64 inches wide and a natural color and hairless. This is our Class room and meeting room. It will seat over 25! Lots of light and very comfy chairs, You do not even need to bring your frame, we have plenty!

them. But, please buy the pattern. If you want to hook 10 of them then that
means, YES, you have to buy 10 of them. If you want to sell the
finished product that is fine. But our patterns are how we stay in
business so that you have a source for rug hooking supplies. Please
